Chamberlain to host 4th annual American Island Days festival
American Island Days is back again for its fourth year in Chamberlain, with events planned for the whole family, August 19 through August 21. Friday night, the festivities begin with a Little Miss & Miss American Island pageant. Little girls in kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade will be competing for the titles at the Oacoma Community Center (100 E 3rd St., Oacoma) at 7 p.m., August 19.
Registration forms can be picked up at the CCC. Saturday, the schedule is in full-swing with vendors, inflatables, food, Ag Olympics (forms available at CCC), and more.

Little Miss & Miss American Island Days Pageant, Oacoma Community Center at 7 p.m. Relay for Life Beach party, hog roast, beach volleyball from 6-9 p.m. Movie on the River at American Creek Marina at sunset. The featured movie will be "Jaws"
Saturday, August 20, 2016:
(All take place at American Creek unless otherwise specified): 8 a.m., Color Run 5K at American creek Marina (by Busted Nut) 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Food & Craft vendors 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Inflatables (bouncy houses and obstacles) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Historical Tent Noon to 4 p.m., Mighty Mo Car Show Noon to 6 p.m., Caricature Artist Noon to Midnight, Beer Garden 1-6 p.m., Boat Poker Run (cards available at Chamberlain Supply, Upper Crust and Busted Nut) 1 p.m. Ag Olympics (park volleyball area) 4-5 p.m. Frog Jumping Contest 5:30-7:30 p.m., Bed Races in front of the Silver Dollar Bar on Main Street 8 p.m. Bean Bag Toss Tournament (next to beer garden) 8-10 p.m., Inflatables for kids ages 12 and up 8 p.m. to Midnight, Live Music by the Sidehackers 9 p.m. Kids movie at the pier Throughout Day Canvas Painting Class
